Music lessons in Albuquerque and online
I teach music lessons in the heart of Albuquerque, NM and online, specializing both in ukulele technique and in helping folks cultivate a love of songwriting.
Record your very own songs.
In-person lessons include the opportunity to record your very own songs at the end of the semester.
sing your song – hone your chops – folk out
Learn, play, and flex your creative muscle. You’ll have the chance to explore your boundless imagination through songwriting, as you become more and more proficient with your chosen instrument. Register now to delve into a diverse and challenging curriculum.
Songwriting is such a special thing: Anything that can be said out loud can be said as well or even better in a song. If you need a nudge in the right direction or something specific to work on, I can help you or the young musician in your life get started on your songwriting journey.
The ukulele is my main squeeze—I just love it so very much! It’s a joy to play and fun to learn. As a singer-songwriter, I love strumming simple chords and singing along but I’m also intrigued by more complex chord/melody arrangements and exploring the ukulele as a solo featured instrument.
fiddle – piano – guitar
I also love sharing the joy of fiddle tunes with kiddos and grown-ups alike. Learning piano and guitar can be a great way of learning the fundamentals of music from the inside out. I offer lessons in electric and upright bass, too.
Your songs, professionally recorded
At the end of the semester students will have the opportunity to record their songs with an experienced recording engineer with some really special projects under her belt. (Hey, that’s me, Sage Harrington! Take a listen to this really special recording project I did, for example).
We are located in the heart of Albuquerque! Contact Sage for coordinates.

A teacher with experience
I’ve been teaching since 2012 and have learned how to present music in a way that is fun, challenging, and rewarding to both grown-ups and kids alike. We’ll keep up a brisk pace of learning to keep things interesting and slow it down when the time is right for some real polishing.
I’m looking forward to working with you!
